Tokyo Police Club “A Lesson In Crime” (Paper Bag)

Yet another hyped Canadian band. The problem with these Canadian bands is that the majority of them actually have been living up to the hype. That’s no good for cynical assholes like me. Tokyo Police Club doesn’t necessarily live up to the hype but they certainly don’t embarass themselves either. The band plays dancy, high energy indie rock. If you can wrap your head around Julian Casablancas of The Strokes singing for Pretty Girls Make Graves you can imagine Tokyo Police Club’s sound. The band certainly isn’t there yet though. Frankly, Tokyo Police Club are too schizophrenic sounding at times as they fight to find their own sound. However, the promise for better things is certainly here. Surely, there is no denying that.

I can’t hear them at work, I’ll give them a go from home. Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know I wrote about music and stuff on my blog and I hope you stop by to read it and maybe enjoy the trip down memory lane.
