Band You Should Know
Statehood is a fairly new DC area band made up of members of The Dismemberment Plan, The Vehicle Birth and Motorcycle Wars. The project originally began as a solo affair by Clark Sabine under the name Disconnected. However, the name was changed to Statehood when Sabine decided to expand into a full band. Most notably, Statehood sees the reuniting of bassist Eric Axelson and drummer Joe Easley of The Dismemberment Plan. The band’s first songs are definitely a promising start and Statehood will remain high on my radar.
