DEEP ELM RECORDS is pleased to announce that it will be releasing
“Sunshine In A Shotglass” the debut full-length from 500 MILES TO MEMPHIS.
The release date is to be determined.
Named after the distance from the band’s hometown of Cincinnati to
Graceland, 500 Miles To Memphis plays a rowdy, insanely catchy, sometime
heartbreaking but always inspiring brand of “country punk.” In 2005 the
band was named best Roots/Folk/Americana Band by the Cincinnati
Entertainment Awards and was also nominated for Best Rock band in 2006.
“Incredibly dark, sinister and unbelievably brilliant…” – Dayton City
Paper
“An exercise in American Eclectic: gritty, dirty and damn good.” -
Independent Weekly
“Harnessing the bucking bronco of country punk and holding on for dear
life.” – Knoxville Metro Pulse
“Bridging the spirit of sweaty punk and old-school country, 500 Miles
To Memphis is irresistible.” – CiN Weekly

Fans of Social D and/or Lucero take note of these guys. Yet another interesting signing for Deep Elm. The label continues to form a rather eclectic roster. Makes you wonder why the hell they are bringing back The Emo Diaries.
