Taken from Auxes‘ myspace page here: “Started as Dave’s post-move-to-NC, for some reason leave all the people you love to play music with in Chicago, solo recording project, Auxes has now turned into a six piece with two drummers. Luckily we’re still able to bribe Noah to travel down from Chicago to play with his expatriated yet homeland-returned friends, errr, friend rather. All the involved play in other bands: Dave (Milemarker, Challenger, Summer Sorcerer), Noah (Milemarker, Challenger, Head of Skulls), Pete (Challenger, Summer Sorcerer), Mike (Fin Fang Foom), John (Caltrop, Hazerai), Ben (Ben Davis Band, Milemarker, Bats and Mice). I probably missed a few bands in there… Welcome to NC. We all share down here.”
- These songs are great! With a line-up like this though, I guess it should be no surprise. Stoked on hearing the whole album which comes out on Lovitt Records in October.

i got this in the mail a few days ago and haven’t listened yet, but it seems pretty cool. And Fin Fang Foom are good guys. And pals. Check them out.
“The Things Lovers Do” on their myspace is such an awesome song!
God, Fin Fang Foom have been around forever…I always liked them alright, just never reach for the albums.
i’m importing the CD into iTunes now.
This is very, very good.
Conversely, Fin Fang Foom are one of my staples. When I can’t quite decide what to put on, I usually reach for “Texture. Structure….”.
Lovitt is so consistently good in everything they put out. Little wonder, given that every band can somehow be traced back to Max Colby.
The new format is superior, by the way. Sorry I just disappeared — hurricane season + insurance industry = busy times.
