This is just to provide you an example of how slow I am. I received the debut album, Golden You, from a cool band called Hungry Pines earlier this year. It’s been in my “Review Worthy!” pile for quite a while now. So, I sit down to write about the band recently and consequently discover they have already broken up. Man, I suck! Anyway, this band was good and had tons of promise. Great female vocals and a powerful band to back it up. Reminiscent of Denali and Vedera as well as lesser known bands that I have covered here (and who are still together): The Kindness Kind and Awake And Alert. But, if this is your style then make sure you pick up a copy of Hungry Pine’s debut (and unfortunate swan song as well), Golden You, before it is gone forever.
