This one has been sitting in the draft folder for a few weeks…I guess I waited too long cause everybody will know this band now that they have signed to Fat Wreck Chords. But I’m not one to let a post go to waste. Teenage Bottlerocket have been around for a few years now with barely a sniff from SAL. That is my bad indeed. In the last few months I have fallen hard for the band’s 2008 album, Warning Device. I was stunned at how much better the band sounded than what I remember from my initial listens a few years ago. Sometimes it just takes a few albums for a band to hit their stride. With their third album, Teenage Bottlerocket has improved leaps and bounds and Warning Device is the proof in the pudding. For fans of pop/punk, Screeching Weasel and Lookout Records but with a definite modern feel.
Crawling Back To You
I’ve only heard the latest album. I really like it, so I should be checking out the rest when I get my laptop back. Probably seeing them this weekend in Madrid too.
