Local Spotlight: Schematics

posted by Will

in Local Spotlight, Music Video

Schematics, a Columbia supergroup of sorts (and good friends of mine), played their first show last weekend and I took some video. These guys haven’t played in bands in quite some time so I went in with moderate expectations but left quite impressed. For fans of mid to late 90’s indie/emo but with a nice punch to it. Would love to get opinions/comparisons on these guys…and be nice.

Schematic consists of ex-members of:
Hurt Reynolds
Ray Brower
Donbravado
Aracari
Adderall
Blue Team Retreat

will – it’s got promise, but you can’t tell a lot from a live video. i think i’d prefer slightly less gruff personally but hey!

  10. Will says:

i think when they record you won’t find it gruff at all. b-hatch’s vocals are nice and wuss. mattison, you should chill on all the gruff dude!

  11. andy m says:

haha, cool. it’d be awesome if all bands did what i asked…

  12. Bradley says:

Can’t get enough of that wonderful gruff.
