i didn’t say it was awful, it’s just really obvious and constant. if they varied it a bit, it would sound a bit more personal and conversational which i think would serve the music a bit better

I really enjoy the times when he rhymes. Too many bands and lyricists try to write words that don’t rhyme because people will see it as a negative. Sometimes it IS a negative, but I firmly believe B&C pulled it off right. It doesn’t come off contrived, the lyrical stories are good, and it’s memorable and easy to sing along to.
